Mapping the current situation and raising awareness of the quality of designers and makers – that's the task of the Žně designu project. This year it's been put together for the third time, once again at Pole designu in Bílovice. The industrial exhibition offers a look at what maximum functionality, manufacturability, integration of new features and fitting aesthetics look like in practice. Across dozens of products spanning multiple industries. The exhibition opened during the August WiFič VEN! outdoor gathering and will remain accessible until the end of the year. With the option of a guided tour, too.

Guided tours of Žně designu and Stezka designu are available on Thursdays and Fridays, bookings at r.vodicka@poledesignu.cz. The price is 50 Kč per person. For serious interest, other dates can also be arranged.
A space for those seeking not shape, but solutions
Žně designu set out to map the current situation, not just in the Czech Republic, and to raise awareness of the role and standard of designers and manufacturers. The exhibition was held as an occasional event in 2020 and 2021. Every product is united by an approach in which design is the result of teamwork between designers, technologists and engineers, but also marketers and salespeople.
At the same time, Žně creates a platform for manufacturers and institutions to meet. Our ambition is to bring the topic of industrial design back to the table. There's no systematic support for its development, it still sits slightly below the radar of public interest. In our view, that state of affairs simply doesn't match the potential this sector offers," explains Richard Vodička on the motivation behind holding Žně designu.
