The ninth edition of WiFič VEN! is behind us. This year, for the first time, we opened the whole Pole designu campus, including the new buildings F2 and F3. Now the programme returns to a calmer pace. You can choose from three well-established exhibitions, the Art Reformatory courses, and facilities including Café 519, a children's playroom and a campsite that welcomed hundreds of visitors on the last weekend of the summer holidays. And on top of that, our autumn programme is already taking shape.
This year WiFič VEN! filled Pole designu with talks, workshops, exhibitions, music, theatre and performances. Several stages hosted Prago Union, Midi Lidi, Ohm Square, MAT 213, Iva Bittová, Cirk La Putyka, Jaroslav Rudiš and many other guests. The programme also included guided tours and activities for children. In every respect, the ninth edition offered the most yet. And much of it can still be seen.
Exhibitions at Pole designu
Doba sádrová remains in building F2. It's a permanent exhibition that takes visitors on a retrospective journey through the 1930s to the 1990s. Back to a time when the shape of a product wasn't born on a monitor, but under the hands of its makers, directly in the material – clay and plaster.
One building along, Žně designu continues. This industrial exhibition presents products from European companies where design is not self-serving styling, but part of the construction, manufacturing and everyday use. This year's Žně designu will stay open until mid-December 2026.
Both exhibitions are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 16:00. Outside these hours, an individual tour can be arranged. More at info@poledesignu.cz.
Idea Market and the Art Reformatory
Idea Market is also on view. A stylised showroom that takes visitors across Egoé's product portfolio. From skis and camping conversions for cars, through furniture and small-space living, to railway station canopies.
And if just looking isn't enough, there's the Art Reformatory – a space where your own hands, materials and experiments take over, and things don't always turn out as originally planned.
Autumn programme
Autumn won't be quiet at Pole designu either. On Thursday 24 September, Pavel Klusák arrives with his programme Gott: Československý příběh. On 6 and 7 November we've prepared a festival of art and creativity called Tělo, obraz, hlas. Look forward to Ridina Ahmedová, Pocket Art and the band Kalle. And for the first time, folklore gets its own space – we're preparing a Horňácko Evening paired with a wine tasting.
