It's the first four-track railway line in the Czech Republic, built to handle the increasingly intensive traffic on this stretch. Along the seven-kilometre route, two new stops were built, and a third, in Vršovice, underwent major reconstruction.
The design of the entire line matches the technical demands of the project. The aim was to create a timeless visual solution that won't date. At the same time, each station reflects the character of its surroundings. Praha-Eden is home to Slavia's modern football stadium. The roofing and fittings were therefore designed to withstand the onslaught of fans. Besides the extremely durable cladding, this includes bins integrated into the supporting columns. At the neighbouring station, you're greeted by an avenue of trees – geometric tree-crown shapes in two shades of green. That's how you know you're in Zahradní Město. The reconstructed Vršovice station, meanwhile, boasts composite aluminium cladding that acts like a mirror. At this last station, we worked on the solution together with METROPROJEKT and SUDOP.
Contributing to the roofing along the entire length of the line is both a huge task and a joy for us. We believe that here, we've distilled our thirty years of experience into a project that stands alongside the best in Europe.
