Ventolin, aka David Doubek, is a live electronic music project that pulls you into a world of analogue synths, samples and hypnotic beats. By day he lectures in cultural anthropology at Charles University, by night he gets clubs dancing as the most in-demand electro entertainer in Czechia and Slovakia.
His show is an uncompromising whirlwind of old drum machines, Detroit techno and Italian-Indian disco from the 80s.
Electronic producer Ventolin returns with the album Všechno nejlepší. It's his most varied and elaborate recording to date, ranging genre-wise from psychedelic acid techno through jungle, disco and indie-pop to hip-hop. For the first time in his discography he's brought in another vocalist – rapper MC Geye. Alongside the record, Ventolin also unveils a new video for the single Vyšší inteligence. The recording has a broad genre range – from the out-and-out dance track Když jedu z hub, whose video has racked up almost a quarter of a million views since November, through the electro-pop Brambory and the leftfield-disco Jak se vám bydlí, to the abstract techno instrumentals Love your neighbour and Elephant.
