Eliška Slámová and Šimon Brabec are architects who couldn't find a backpack that matched what they had in mind, so in 2013 they designed and sewed one themselves. Those first prototypes gradually grew into the brand Braasi, most of whose roll-top backpacks now go abroad. In a former factory in Prague's Holešovice, they keep design, cutting, sewing, packaging and sales all under one roof. They've brought their architectural thinking down to a smaller scale, one where construction, material, function and every last detail all matter.
