Josef Kvasnička is a long-time reporter and presenter for Czech Television's main news programme, Události. He joined Czech Television in 1996 and for almost three decades brought the news, mainly from the Zlín Region. At the age of thirty he was diagnosed with a jaw tumour, for which he underwent a series of demanding operations. After the procedures he had to learn to eat, speak and articulate properly all over again, yet he managed to return in front of the camera and later also took a seat at the Události news desk.
