Michael Meyer speaks at WiFič VEN! about designing for major global brands
Michael Meyer is a German industrial designer and strategist, a graduate of industrial design from Burg Giebichenstein in Halle. He gained his professional experience at London studio Native Design and at Kärcher. He currently works as Director Product & Strategy at Stuttgart-based studio TEAMS Design, headquartered in Esslingen, where he focuses on product strategy, innovation and connecting design with technological and business development.
In 2026 TEAMS Design celebrates 70 years in business. It grew out of Slany Design, a studio founded in Esslingen in 1956 by Hans Erich Slany, a German industrial designer born in Böhmisch Wiesenthal in what was then Czechoslovakia — today's Loučná pod Klínovcem.
Alongside his professional practice, Michael Meyer is involved in mentoring and teaching, and also serves as a judge for the international iF Design Award competition.
