A new wave of indie-pop

Wyfe, a pop band from Prague, came together during the 2020 lockdown – all the members are seasoned musicians who've already played in several bands. It's precisely these years of experience that Wyfe draw on in their work together, which nods to the guitar bands of the early noughties while bringing a thoroughly contemporary production to them. They've released the album Good Times along with singles such as Death, High and Beaufort. The five-piece band is among the most interesting names on the current Czech music scene. Their blend of indie rock, electronics and heartfelt lyrics resonates not just in clubs but over the airwaves too. Their songs are regularly played on Expres FM, for instance. Last year the band fulfilled a dream and played on Wenceslas Square, proving they can reach a wider audience. In late January 2026 they released their third album, Perfectly Ordinary, which they call their most ambitious project yet.
