Fiume o morte!

Fiume o morte! is an original documentary that revisits the events of 1919, when the Italian poet Gabriele D'Annunzio occupied the city of Rijeka and attempted to establish his own state there. Director Igor Bezinović tells this story with wit, humour and the participation of the city's present-day residents. The result is a film about a genuine historical event that, even after more than a hundred years, feels uncannily and unsettlingly relevant.
